Michael Riegerix

 
Biography

 Born and raised in St. Louis, MO. After graduating highschool he attended the University of Missouri.  There he would start out as a graphic design major but quickly realized that sitting in front of a computer screen was not romantic enough for him. Soon he found oil painting, a medium that instantly resonated with him on a personal level. In 2012 he graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting. After graduation he was employed by The University of Missouri to curate and install exhibitions in the George Caleb Bingham Gallery. In 2014 Michael moved to Asheville, NC. Since then he has been an Art Consultant for multiple professional galleries, and currently is the director of Spire Gallery located in Asheville’s River Arts District.
